The Auspicious Bao
Our Auspicious Bao is multi-faceted. Choose to set it as a charm, pendant, bracelet and even set as a ringstone.  
 
The Bao has two meanings in Chinese: “steamed bun” or “precious treasure". 
 
Considered auspicious by many, farmers used to consume them in hopes of a fruitful harvest. They’ve also been known to be given as gifts to newlyweds as fertility blessings, and even given to family and friends as ‘good luck’ consumables to fuel exam takers.
 
For parents celebrating their child’s first birthday - two very special bao’s are used to help celebrate this momentous occasion. One to wipe the child’s mouth to rid them of the ‘sour milk smell’ (signifying the end of having to rely on mother’s milk), and the second to wipe the child’s rear end in the hopes that the child will grow up strong, independent and beloved.
